First Smile

It happened today! Sure, we’ve had plenty of fleeting grins, smiles directed at the cobwebs in the corner of ceiling, or looks that we thought maybe, just maybe …? but today was the day for sure. Today all of my goofy baby talk induced this:



Of course, once the flash went off, she realized she was being pursued by the papparazzi and was less than cooperative. She’d smile and grin as long as she could see my entire face, but the second I brought the camera up to look through the viewfinder, all bets were off.

I can not tell you how much I needed this right now.
