Ella has started talking. In a span of two days, she has gone verbal. She now happily parrots anything we say and has a strong comprehension of what we’re talking about.
Her vocabulary last week:
“Mama” signified anything that she wanted. Shoe and cheese rounded out her list of words.
Today:
“Stop!”
“Go! Go! Go! Go!”
“Ella, up!” (as in pick me up)
“Eat!”
“Cow, Moooooooooooooo”
“Herpatarium” (Chris swears this is true)
Jay also continues to explore ideas and keep us entertained as his three year old grasp of language evolves. The other day:
“Mama, why do you have to work today?”
“To save the environment!”
“But on Saturday and Sunday, we have enough ‘environment’, so you don’t have to save any of it?”
I love your conversation with Jay about why you have to work! Too cute :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so amazing when all of the sudden there vocabulary explodes. You never know what they're going to say.
My 19 month old says either "hold you" or "hold her" when she wants to be picked up.
