When we last saw our heroes...

The bathroom is coming together nicely. Aside from a few rookie mistakes (a couple of tiles are ever so slightly off center and I think I could have done a better job leveling them), the tiling is looking good, and I am proud of my work. We still have a good bit of work to do, including installing a toilet and sink. Do I know how to install a toilet? Heck no. Am I going to try? You bet. The toilet is a dual flush, which is strangely exciting for me. Kind of like when I was looking forward to the summer of my seventh grade year, not because I was starting junior high but because the city was starting a curbside recycling program that summer. Because Holy Cow! Recycling! The intersection of environmentalism and technology! I anticipated that recycling truck more than the ice cream truck or my birthday.

I wish I were kidding.

But whatevs. Let us not go down that lonely road of my awkward junior high experience. Because I am a grown up, and I totally don't harbor any resentment towards those bratastic peers who mocked me for pulling cans out of the garbage in the lunchroom. I am sure they've done really meaningful things with their lives. And it's not like I made voodoo dolls of them out of Seven-up bottles and used Lisa Frank stationary or anything. Or if I did, I don't still have them. In my closet. Or anything.

Right then.

And now! A dual flush toilet! Let's get to work.

  1. My sisters the "contractors". Do you girls service the Florida area? I need our kitchen, both bathrooms, and hallway tiled. I can pay in mangos...
